A colourful and enjoyable visit to the Big Red dune

5/5

The trip is very worthwhile. It starts with a familiarisation tour around Birdsville town and track and then heads out to the Big Red. The vehicle tracks right up to the top of the dune and gets there in plenty of time to enjoy the lovely light and sunset. I am not very mobile so it suited me beautifully. After a relaxing drink, snack and chat, and a view of the post-sunset colours, it’s time to head back. A great afternoon excursion.

Awesome tour

5/5

Highly recommend doing this tour with Alex when you come to Birdsville. Not only do you get to see and experience Big Red but before you go out you get a tour of the town with some very interesting facts.

Alex is a great communicator and has such a great lived experience of this region. Big Red was superb and having a wine and nibblies provided – (which were great BTW) was awesome! Thanks again Alex and Adele!

Big Red in Style!

5/5

Great afternoon and evening, great to have Alex who knows Birdsville really well, share the history and stories of this piece of Australia!

The Big Red tour and champagne and nibbles as the sun set was excellent.

Not having to drive back to Birdsville (after a few drinks) with cattle and wildlife all over the shop was also a blessing!
